This might sound weird coming from a dog who writes a blog, but I hate technology!!

My people spend a great deal of time on their phones and their iPads and their computers and watching that big box in our living room...and what SHOULD they be doing??? Petting me!!! (obviously)...

I think people should all decide to take ONE day and ditch it all! Go outside and leave your phone at home! What is the worse thing that could happen??? Oh, and when I say leave your "phone" at home, I hope that it is understood that you will take your DOG with you!! Please?? We want to go!!

So...who's with me? I'm taking a day off of technology. Will you join me? Just think of all the fun you will have with your DOG when you aren't looking at your e-mail or your text or those stupid cat videos on YouTube. Why do CATS get so many hits anyway???

Today is Mother's Day and I am celebrating. Some of you may not know this, but I'm a mother. I had 5 puppies a little over a year ago before we all became homeless.

Not much is known about my previous life, but my people found me in the pound with my 5 puppies.

The pound told my people that puppies always get adopted fast, but the older mommies weren't on the top of people's lists of dogs to adopt. My people decided that I needed a good home and they picked me!

I was worried about my puppies until we went back to the pound for a follow up appointment for me a week later and all my puppies were adopted out!

Today I want to thank all the people out there who adopt puppies and dogs from shelters.

And to all the mothers who read my blog, Happy Mother's Day!!! :-)

Yesterday, my people got me a new toy...a burping hedgehog! It was the greatest day ever!

Funny thing is that while the toy seemed to be new (I'm pretty sure I never saw it before), it's fur was a little matted in some places. I think that some dog had chewed on it before.

Now I love my people, but I am a little annoyed that they would resort to getting me used toys. I don't want a toy that some other dog has chewed on. Would they want to eat a meal that someone else had already taken bites out of? I don't think so.

I considered just ignoring that hedgehog, but then I decided that it wasn't really the hedgehog's fault. That hedgehog was begging to be played with! So, I ended up spending most of the night chewing on that little guy. My people even played fetch with me for a while.

Next time I get a new toy, I hope that it's actually NEW!

(Editor's Note: Pippa isn't the brightest dog around. The burping hedgehog was actually her old toy. She hid it under the bed months ago and her people pulled it out. She thought it was new and acted like she hadn't seen it before. The bite marks were hers from a few month ago. Silly Pippa.)

I had a secret. A big one. I didn't think anyone would ever find out. But today, my people found out. I tried to play it off like I didn't know what they were talking about. I don't think they bought it.

You want to know what it was? I guess I can tell you since they already know. Please don't judge me. I'm a dog. Remember that. Ok. Here goes.

Well it all started when my people got a rug for the TV room. It's a nice cushy rug. Kind of looks like grass. It's brown, but I don't see color very well. To me, it's pretty much grass. Maybe you see where this is headed.

Anyhow, right before they leave the house, they always take me out to do my business. And then they leave. Sometimes for what feels like years. And I am not sure if they are ever coming back. I mean, the sun never goes down before they come back, but still...how do I know when they are coming back????

So...back to the rug. I've been peeing on it. And the other day, one of my people smelled it. I thought I was in the clear but today, they turned over the rug and found the evidence. As soon as they looked at me, I rolled over to have my belly rubbed. Played stupid. But they seemed upset. They didn't yell or get mad, but I could tell I disappointed them.

I don't like that feeling. They should have yelled at me. I think that would have been better. Now I don't know what to do. Do I pee there again??? What do you think? Feel free to comment here. And please don't judge me. The cat pees in a box. Now THAT is weird.

So today I was out sniffing around doing my business, but there were just so many things going on!

First, there was this new little dog that started yelling at me! He was telling me that he didn't like my hair, which frankly is just rude!

I went back to my business when all of a sudden one of those magic boxes zoomed by and then five people jumped out and started talking about who knows what! I just HAD to stop what I was doing and listen!!

That's when I heard my people say that I had "ADD." And I do!!! I have "A Delightful Disposition!" And I'm an "Awesome Delightful Dog!"

I stood a little taller until I realized they said it like it was a bad thing. I don't get it.

Evidently, in my people's world, being or having some sort of "Delightful" anything is not the best thing ever. Whatever.

In dog world, I know it's a good thing! ADD. I'll wear that with pride :-) Tell the Cat to put that in her catnip and sniff it!!
